Law of Direct Learning

This is a law I am also big on, probably because of my extensive martial arts training. When students train in the martial arts, first they are told about something; they are given the oral lesson. Next, they are shown the technique, and then afterward, they discuss the technique. Then, after doing the technique many times, they begin to learn more about it, because they are doing it and integrating, and the more they do, the more they expand. The mind and the brain work in different ways, but the brain puts you in direct control of your life. You program the brain for what it is you want to learn. You then create the experience for what it is you want to learn. Then, you do the experience. Finally, after it is done, you integrate the information and through the law of reflection you are able to go back and extract from the lesson more than what you thought you would ever learn. Now, this is what is known as “having your cake and eating it too!” You get to think of the experience, program into the brain what you want to learn, have the experience, and then integrate it. You then reflect so now you are learning exactly what you wanted to learn, and then picking up all the other lessons along the way. Think about where you would be in your life right now if you had used this principle all along. I wish I had learned it earlier, too, nevertheless, we have it now, and we are going to use it!
